EXP Bamako residency is open for cultural workers in all fields. The residency offers an apartment with 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms w. showers, living room/study, kitchen, balcony in a three story building in Hamdallaye, central Bamako not far from hotel Radisson. The house has a roof terrace with a large roofed space with a great 360° view across the Niger and over the hills. We are situated right in between the two cultural centres we are collaborating with, Centre Soleil d'Afrique in ACI 2000 and La Médina near the central market.
For those interested working with visual arts, photography or architecture we have a network of contacts available. The network will grow with its members and we hope to have contact with both music and dance networks in the future.
We will be organizing specific workshops (see project layout) during certain periods of the year and the space will be reserved for these periods but as soon as there is room for visitors we are happy to accommodate you. The cost per night/person is 15€. This gives you access to a bedroom (bedsheets included), shared living room/study and kitchen (w. basic utilities). A folder with relevant information and maps will be at your disposal and you are welcome to contact us for more information, but we do not take responsibility for your stay in any other way than to provide housing.
