First week in Norrköping

Our residents have arrived and have had a great introduction to Norrköping. They have access to Verkstad Rum För Konst where they will be working and have access to all of the university facilities as well.
They have met all our collaborators and people working within the cultural sector in Norrköping and the region. We had a pleasant mingle night with music performers at Broadway konditori where we welcomed them and they had the opportunity to meet up with local artists and people working within the cultural sector in the region.

Apply for Nordic Studio for Continued Engagement - at Rejmyre

Nordic Studio for Continued Engagement, interdisciplinary post-graduate workshop
AUGUST 20-25, 2014 - Rejmyre, Sweden.

Rejmyre Art LAB’s post-graduate workshops seek to create a space for continued engagement and international network building for a select group of recent graduates from leading international MFA programs.
Rejmyre Art LAB is an artist-run organization focused on place-based making.  Our 2014 summer workshop, Everything you want is already here, will explore our relationship to what “is” and our desire to alter it.  The workshop is open to practitioners from a broad range of contemporary art and craft backgrounds.

Workshop activities include a combination of work presentations, peer critique, collaborative exercises and dialogue through making.

The Nordic Studio for Continued Engagement is held in conjunction with Art LAB’s annual artist residency program, which hosts a small summer colony of internationally renowned artists. Since its inception in 2009, Art LAB's workshops, residencies, seminars and exhibitions have engaged the town of Rejmyre as their site. Rejmyre is a small, glass factory town in Sweden,  located amongst forests and lakes, two hours southwest of Stockholm.

Application deadline January 25th, 2014, for more information and how to apply vistit Rejmyre Art LAB.
